So the marvelous company of Apple has now decided to build a 171 solar panel farm. They are building the solar panel farm to power their $1 billion dollar data center in Maiden, North Carolina. The data center that they are going to give power to came online in the spring of 2011. That data center supports their icloud program and itunes store cloud services. The 500,000 foot facility is going to have to use a lot of power and electricity to power and cool its racks of server arrays. Steve Jobs said to make it as much eco-friendly as you can make a modern data center. Ounce apple has their new solar panel farm they should be able to support their data center with an eco-freindly energy source. Apple is already having eco-freindly energy in Ireland, California, and Texas. Town Herms , Mayor of the town of Maiden, said that apple has not yet applied for a building permit. I believe that this would be great because everyone should go more eco-freindly about the energy they use. Apple is doing their part in eco-freindly and i'm sure this new 171 solar panel farm is going to be a big success. Apple building this new solar paneled farm is a great way to show and convince others to go green.

Pio, what an interesting concept. Apple's idea to build a solar panel farm in North Carolina is creative and innovative. It also will save energy and money. As you stated, it might get others to go green.
